My first stethoscope
My first stethoscope! I love the colour! :cheer:
This is my very first stethoscope! I wanted to post this picture earlier but laziness took over me for the past few days. Well, better late than never! Hehe.. I bought it from a bookstore in my campus and it cost me Rp 447 000, which is about RM 160 according to the current exchange rate (RM 1 = Rp 2800). I never knew that stethoscopes can come in various colours! All this while, I’ve only seen black which the doctors usually use. Other colours available include green, orange, maroon, grey, etc.. Even pink is also available! Yes, pink!! :hehe:
I just can’t believe that I’m going to be a doctor someday. Lol~ Better be a good one then. Anyway, my parents are coming over right here in Jakarta this Friday (1st Feb)!!! :love2: I seriously can’t wait even though it has only been just one week since I left Malaysia. :hehe: I feel so lonely right now. My darling is currently in Malaysia, enjoying his 3 weeks of bliss.. 
Ok! I should stop now before I get all emotional.

I just read ur biography. man! How i wished I read it a lot earlier. looking through your education. u inspire me to study hard. u r a really smart student! I envy you. I got straight As in my upsr and pmr too. but i’m not sure how well i did in my spm. yet.
and oh, I really do hope that u’ll become a good doctor. and your darling, is he studying with you? I secrectly think that it’s so romantic. :hehe:

Wow.. Thank you! That’s very flattering but I’m definitely not that good to be some kind of inspiration to other people. :hehe: I’m sure you did well for your SPM! :happy: Many of my friends who also got straight As for UPSR and PMR and they got a very good result for their SPM.
I dunno.. Being a doctor is a hard job coz there’s so much of responsibility that you need to take care of. And thanks! I hope I will be! :hehe: My darling? :love: Yes, he’s studying medicine in Jakarta too but we’re in different unis. It would be even better if we’re in the same uni anyway.

hey, congrats for getting your first stethoscope (damn susah betul nak eja, kopipaste je.haha). 1 step closer to becoming a full fledged doctor now.

p/s - can you do something about this textarea background, maybe darken it up a little. not enough contrast to my eyess, probably I’m getting old. haha

Really?? Usually stethoscope comes with brands. There are many brands that you can find and the most famous one is Littmann. Yes, the one I bought. So, maybe that’s why it’s so much expensive. Here, you can get a brand-new stethoscope as low as RM 6. :hehe: As for sphygmomanometer (the blood pressure thingy), the same thing applies. The branded one is Riester and it may cost as high as RM 400+/-, I think? But sure, the cheapest that I found was only RM20.
But sure, the cheap ones, they won’t last long.
Heh, I sound like a geeky or something.

i suspect so. branded would obviously cost more
but i haven’t seen any pink stethoscope. would’ve make a great gift for me mom rawr huhuhu.. ^^
