I need life too

My friend and I got very embarrassed today. It wasn’t totally our fault. Well, at least I think, it wasn’t our fault at all. I was chatting with this friend of mine for quite some time. Then, when my friend brought her laptop out of her bag, we were interrupted abruptly by this lecturer. (I wasn’t even sure whether she’s a lecturer or not since she has never taught us). This happened in the anatomy museum where we were quarantined after the lab exam.

Her: What are you intending to do with the laptop? Studying or just having chit chat? You shouldn’t be chatting and wasting your time now. I think you should try to do some reading on what you should learn.
Us: Err.. we didn’t bring any of our lecture notes or books coz we thought that we could straight away go back home after the exam.
Her: Then, try to sleep and get some rest coz you need all the energy to study. You should start practicing now on being able to sleep anywhere coz when you start being a doctor, you wouldn’t even have time to get a proper rest. (searching for people who actually sleep during that time) Oh yea, see over there. See your friend over there, sleeping.
Us: *rolls eyes secretly* :bored2: Yeah2, sure.

Okay, first of all, why were we the only one who got condemned? Others weren’t studying as well. Some were chatting, others laughing like mad. Why us? Why Why? Second, how the hell could I study or even sleep with such condition? It was very noisy. That guy who were sleeping was sick actually. Third, I seriously couldn’t force myself to fall asleep, right? Arghh.. Then, should I just shut myself up instead of chatting with my friend? And why do people always think that medical students need to study 24/7? When they don’t study, they should be getting rest. And when they study, well, they should! Should I dedicate all my life to that only? Hell no. I need life too. :yuck: I wanna have fun. I don’t want to be nerdy. I’ll study if I want to. What’s the point of studying when you can’t even absorb anything? Yea, that’s my point. It’s the quality that matters, not quantity. :-)

Gosh, am I a bad person? I’ve been complaining about the lecturers a lot lately. :yuck: Huhu.. Anyway, one more paper to go! It’ll be over this Friday! Yay! :cheer:

that idea is so old-fashion. as long as you pay attention in class and understand the concepts and key things that’s what’s really important when you study.

have some low quantity high quality studying.

good luck on your last paper.

Haha.. Next time when we go for Anatomic Pathology lab practice, you will know her. She’s the only wearing tudung there, I think. :-P yeah, true! I felt like I was locked up in some kind of zoo. It was wayyyyy too noisy there. :yuck:

gal, I think you are right. have fun. kalau doktor pun tension, camne nak treat orang. :p

but, it’s sort of funny when she says that you should be able to sleep anywhere, anytime. because I imagined the university with a lot of people taking a short nap in the hall. it’s sort of funny LOL.

Yeah!! Totally.. Kalo sume doctor tension, last2 doctor pun kena masuk wad sakit jiwa. :-D

Really! I thought the same too. Seriously, she couldn’t be serious, could she? Doctors aren’t robots. They are just normal human beings like many others too. :yuck:

haha… weird lecturer indeed… ;) ya hor.. they should actually let us go back home and sleep…
but then, even if she didn’t say that, i also already have the talent to sleep anywhere anytime anyhow…
later on, if she scolded u like that again, u said back leh, “then, doctor, how about u teach us 1st how to sleep at ‘this’ condition. later on, after we understand, we follow leh…” ;)
