Cigarette smoke ring

The weather in Jakarta nowadays is very unstable. (I couldn’t find any other word to describe it better) It was a very bright sunny day yesterday. Today, it rained quite heavily. The weather fluctuates. Almost everyone in my class is sick. I’m sick. To make it worse, I’m currently having asthma attacks. This isn’t the first time I got the attacks right here in Jakarta. I’ve been asthmatic ever since I was a child. Back then, it was much more severe but it got better as I grew up. I remember that my last attack before I came to Jakarta was like 8 years ago, perhaps? Ever since I came here, I tend to get recurrent attacks and it’s not just me. A lot of my friends who had asthma before also experience the same thing too. Ah, blame the severe air pollution here! Damn.

Yes, I think the quality of air here is very poor. Air pollution is everywhere. I always feel insecure about the air that I breathe in. The smell sucks. God knows how much chemicals and irritants that actually contain in my inhaled air. Smoking is one thing. My lecturer said that there are 4000 substances and chemicals contained in the tobacco smoke and about 100 of them are extremely dangerous, poisonous, and carcinogenic to our body. Dammit. :yuck:

It’s actually very hard to find anyone who does not smoke while walking along the streets here. I feel like every 50 meters that I walk, I’ll surely find someone who smokes. At least, someone. Yeah. How bad is that? Yes, it is very bad indeed. I really hate despise those damn smokers. The dangerous substances in the smoke will not only jeopardize the smokers but also for those people nearby.

I will get very irritated every time a smoker walks by. I don’t care if they want to smoke or not. It’s seriously none of my business. But the thing that I hate is, please do not involve other people. We are innocent. If they want to smoke, don’t do it in public. I was really surprised when I came across with this random person who actually smoked in the cinema. What the hell was he thinking? In the cinema itself? Where it is a closed room and air-conditioned? I would say, he has no brain. Or maybe, he does have but he has never used it. It could also be that he doesn’t want to use his brain. *being sarcastic*

Another funny thing that I notice here is that every freaking mall in Jakarta is provided with smoking rooms. It is a small room where all the stupid smokers gather and smoke together and perhaps die together there too. :-D I’ve seen the rooms before and the walls are made of glasses so I could see them clearly, enjoying their last minutes of life. :-P I can tell that if I were to be placed in that room, I might probably won’t last for seconds! It was so damn smoky and I could hardly see their faces. Haha.. Oh, I should have taken photos of it!

I also notice that some of my seniors smoke too! (Yes, mind you, they are medical students as well) Seriously, I don’t understand why a person would smoke when they already know the danger that smoking can cause. Oh well, everyone should have already known that smoking is freakingly BAD. I feel very much ashamed that even medical students smoke. And the feeling is even greater when I saw one of my lecturer actually smokes! Haha.. Caught red-handed! If he wants to smoke, please don’t smoke in front of us because we might be getting a wrong idea about him and he might as well lose our respect.

Smoking through trachea?
Smoking through trachea? I guess this person probably has undergone tracheotomy. Apparently, he still doesn’t want to give up on smoking.. Sheesh.. Shame on you!

Haha.. So much of rambling on smoking.. I was having a blogger block for the past few days. Thanks to my journey back home today which inspires me to write about this. :-P

Ps. I know. This post is too wordy. I think those who read this might have dozed off after 2-3 paragraphs. Lol~
