It’s the state of bliss you think you’re dreaming..

The weather in Jakarta nowadays is very unstable. (I couldn’t find any other word to describe it better) It was a very bright sunny day yesterday. Today, it rained quite heavily. The weather fluctuates. Almost everyone in my class is sick. I’m sick. To make it worse, I’m currently having asthma attacks. This isn’t the first time I got the attacks right here in Jakarta. I’ve been asthmatic ever since I was a child. Back then, it was much more severe but it got better as I grew up. I remember that my last attack before I came to Jakarta was like 8 years ago, perhaps? Ever since I came here, I tend to get recurrent attacks and it’s not just me. A lot of my friends who had asthma before also experience the same thing too. Ah, blame the severe air pollution here! Damn.
Yes, I think the quality of air here is very poor. Air pollution is everywhere. I always feel insecure about the air that I breathe in. The smell sucks. God knows how much chemicals and irritants that actually contain in my inhaled air. Smoking is one thing. My lecturer said that there are 4000 substances and chemicals contained in the tobacco smoke and about 100 of them are extremely dangerous, poisonous, and carcinogenic to our body. Dammit.
It’s actually very hard to find anyone who does not smoke while walking along the streets here. I feel like every 50 meters that I walk, I’ll surely find someone who smokes. At least, someone. Yeah. How bad is that? Yes, it is very bad indeed. I really hate despise those damn smokers. The dangerous substances in the smoke will not only jeopardize the smokers but also for those people nearby.

I will get very irritated every time a smoker walks by. I don’t care if they want to smoke or not. It’s seriously none of my business. But the thing that I hate is, please do not involve other people. We are innocent. If they want to smoke, don’t do it in public. I was really surprised when I came across with this random person who actually smoked in the cinema. What the hell was he thinking? In the cinema itself? Where it is a closed room and air-conditioned? I would say, he has no brain.
Or maybe, he does have but he has never used it. It could also be that he doesn’t want to use his brain. *being sarcastic*
Another funny thing that I notice here is that every freaking mall in Jakarta is provided with smoking rooms. It is a small room where all the stupid smokers gather and smoke together and perhaps die together there too.
I’ve seen the rooms before and the walls are made of glasses so I could see them clearly, enjoying their last minutes of life.
I can tell that if I were to be placed in that room, I might probably won’t last for seconds! It was so damn smoky and I could hardly see their faces. Haha.. Oh, I should have taken photos of it!
I also notice that some of my seniors smoke too! (Yes, mind you, they are medical students as well) Seriously, I don’t understand why a person would smoke when they already know the danger that smoking can cause. Oh well, everyone should have already known that smoking is freakingly BAD. I feel very much ashamed that even medical students smoke. And the feeling is even greater when I saw one of my lecturer actually smokes! Haha.. Caught red-handed! If he wants to smoke, please don’t smoke in front of us because we might be getting a wrong idea about him and he might as well lose our respect.

Smoking through trachea? I guess this person probably has undergone tracheotomy. Apparently, he still doesn’t want to give up on smoking.. Sheesh.. Shame on you!
Haha.. So much of rambling on smoking.. I was having a blogger block for the past few days. Thanks to my journey back home today which inspires me to write about this.
Ps. I know. This post is too wordy. I think those who read this might have dozed off after 2-3 paragraphs. Lol~

Jaja: Haha. I can’t recall.. But it should be more than 50% coz it’s like every step that I take, mesti jumpe ngan smokers nie. Huh.
Dammit.
Huy Ming: I dunno la. I was wondering too.. Maybe poeple just wanna joke around je kot.. Saya pun rasa macam tak boleh. Huhu~
That’s a lot of chemicals contained in a cigarette. Air pollution is everywhere. You guys have smoking rooms? That’s insane, that’s just a way to encourage people to smoke. Here people do smoke but I can’t say I see quite a lot on a daily basis. Many of the kids at my past school smoke. Second hand smoking is dangerous as well. Smoking is like putting up yourself for a quick death.

Ali: good idea, let’s!
LOL, sorry for talking nonsense. the last pic is disgusting. once,I was walking in front of a bar, there was this one guy who smoked and was holding a baby on his arm. God, I hate that kind of sight. pisses me off. I mean, if he wants to die, don’t drag the baby together with him!

Shen: No, no.. I’m not an Indonesian actually. I’m a Malaysian studying in Indonesia. I’ve never seen such rooms in Malaysia before. I was surprised to find them in Jakarta. I wonder if other places also do have them. yeah, that’s so true. In fact. 2nd hand smokers are even worse. You can’t exhale back whatever you’ve breathed in compared to 1st hand smokers.
MK: I’m not sure about that. I suppose it’s not for real. Logically, I don’t think so.. I dunno, really.
Aj: You’re welcome! Yeah. It’s rather disturbing.
Anysz: Oy, itu lagi la bahaya cik adik oi.. Kalau nak pendekkna nyawa lagi cepat, boleh la pilih jalan tu.
So, kepada sesiapa yg merokok tu, stop la seblum terlambat.. anda bukan nya tak tau bahya merokok tu pun kan..
Aisyah: LOL!!
Yeah, it really is. OMG! That’s even worse. Baby? Babies are more vulnerable than adults are as their respiratory system has not yet fully developed..I think? Damn that person! It’s just so cruel! Yeah, he should go and die alone!
