Yeah, you get that right. I had quite an unfortunate encounter with another deceitful taxi driver today. When will this ever end? I’m so sick of this. :yuck: This time wasn’t as bad as I had before but still, those damn taxi drivers just can’t stop cheating on their customers. I bet it’s not only foreigners that they aim.
I still remember the last time I was cheated by a mischievous taxi driver, I got a few scratches on my knee and elbow (long story, you wouldn’t want to know) and the taxi driver snatched an extra 20k from my friend’s wallet. This time, I wasn’t physically harmed but we had to pay almost the double amount of fare. WTF. If only he didn’t go around in circles, I would only have to pay WAY cheaper than what I’ve paid just now.
Everytime I had this ‘funny feeling’ when first entering the taxi, I usually ended up being cheated. My instinct has never failed me so far. And I had noticed some similarities every time I had to encounter with this kind of condition. The driver is usually an OLD MAN around 50-60 (surprising, eh?), being too friendly and asks a lot of questions, which sometimes I just feel like plastering his mouth. The taxi driver that I had just now was an old man and he was just too “friendly”. I got very irritated when he asked too many unnecessary questions and it was so obvious that he was trying to trick me (and my friend, Raja). He was very keen to know where we live, what we do, etc, etc. Sometimes, I felt like yelling to him to shut up his big fat mouth but it would be rude, wouldn’t it? Considering he was an old man. :bored2:
What really pissed me of was he gave us hint to round up our fare to 40k by saying: “It wouldn’t be such a burden if you both pay 20k each. Bla.. bla.. bla..” Yeah, can you believe that? Bangang ke apa ni ha? Duduk diam2 sudah la. In the end, we paid him the exact amount. Lantak kau la. Haha. I realised that he was staring at us when we got out of the taxi. WTF.
P.s. Don’t tell me to take the public transportation like bus, LRT, bajaj, angkut, etc, etc. They suck, big time. And oh, there’s no LRT here. :yuck:
P.p.s. It’s a metered taxi anyway. The further you go, the more expensive the fare would be. That explains everything about the taxi driver driving around in circles.

I remember one time I encounted a taxi driver who drove like snail. That day happened to be my NAFA test day. I had to go home to get my PE uniform and rush back to school. This !@#$%&() driver was taking his own sweet time to drive. I am sure I can even rollerblade faster then that. I took out my mobile and faked a phone call to my mum saying I was “late”. But he did not notice my urgency at all. Like wtf? So I quickly counted my money and paid the driver once he reached my house. He said,”No need to rush lah. (Singlish lol) Take your time.” I gave him a glare and slammed the door. The taxi fare cost my $6+ and the normal amount is $5.40 or around there.
On the way back to school, the second taxi driver drove a longer route which made me even madder. I wanted to scream “WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE???!!!” But I can’t because it’s rude. @_@
Ahh how annoying. -.-

Sorry to hear you were cheated. =/ That’s horrible. Over friendly people in their 50s or 60s seem to scare me. It’s a bit awkward with these people not knowing you but asking you a series of questions. I do hope it never happens to you again. Here there’s a fixed fare for traveling so there’s nothing like cheating. For each destination stop it’s a fixed amount which is pretty good.

Regina: Awww.. Sorry to hear that. Hope everything was fine. Yeah, it’s really annoying. I wish they have LRT here so that I won’t have to take the taxi. I seldom take taxi in Malaysia coz they’re LRTs almost everywhere in KL.
Shen: Fixed fare? That’s good then. You can never be cheated if you already know the fixed fare.
Saffa: It’s a metered taxi. No use if I ask the price first. Huhu..
Huy Ming: I just can’t! Saya sakit hati sebab kena tipu banyak kali.
Nono: It’s not that I want to reveal anything to him. He kept asking questions so he might already figure out I’m a foreigner once I opened my mouth. Wah, kena tipu jugak ke.. I seldom take taxi in Malaysia. Usually my father yg antakan. Muahaha. Atau pn naik LRT je la. LOL. How did you tipu diorg? Bijak bijak..

Maiza: Ye ke.. tapi luckily you guys didn’t get cheated. But then, memang menyakitkan hati kalau die bawak camtu. Especially kalau kita nak cepat pastu gi bawak macam siput plak. Memang siput betol.
Anyway, saya teringin nak tengok cik meija marah. Hik3..
Nono: LOL. Pandai2.. Sekarang dah terer cakap KL mesti boleh tipu.
Whoa! Ye ke? Maybe you tak nampak typical Malay kot..
